INSTALLATION / OPERATION OF GUARDIAN VOLTAGE STABILIZER : To ensure optimum performance of your GUARDIAN STABILIZER, kindly take time to read through these instructions / procedures and become familiar with them.

• Refer to the models / application / voltage, current & other specification chart – in our website www.guardianstabilisers.com - for further details.
• Install / mount / locate the GUARDIAN voltage stabilizer in a well-ventilated space, near the appliance / gadget connected.
• Connect the plug of your equipment to the Socket / Connector on the Guardian Stabilizer. Connect the plug of the Guardian Stabilizer to the mains Socket / Connector.
• The indicating lamps will glow showing input to the stabilizer and output to the equipment connected.
• When input is below or above the Working Voltage Range of the stabilizer, the output will be cutoff. In this event the output LED indicator will cease to glow.
• When the input voltage returns to the operating range, the output will automatically resume. (Applicable only for selected models)
• To provide extra protection to your Refrigerator, Deep Freeze, Water cooler, Air Conditioner or any appliance with Motor / Compressor - an inbuilt systems has been incorporated to delay the output supply ( Time Delay System ) to the equipment connected by about 2-3 minutes ( after every power interruption ).
• During time Delay the output LED indicator will not glow as long as the Time delay is on – and the output indicator will glow once the output supply resumes. This is to protect the Motor / Compressor by preventing start-up immediately after a power supply interruption. An Instant start switch is provided to By-pass the Time Delay – especially during Start up after long durations, when delay is not needed. (Applicable Only for select models).
• PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN WHILE OPERATING GUARDIAN VOLTAGE STABILIZERS :
  To ensure optimum performance of your GUARDIAN STABILIZER, kindly take time to read through these precaution instructions and strictly follow them.

• Do not connect any appliance / gadget / equipment other than those specified. The power plug / socket should be located at one meter near the stabilizer.
• Switch the electric power to the stabilizer OFF when it is not in use. It would help to have on-off-switch on the power supply socket.
• Keep the stabilizer away from food items, ants / pests may enter through the vent holes and clog the relay contacts.
• Do not allow the stabilizer to get wet.
• Keep the stabilizer away from hot / cold source.
• Provide sufficient space around the stabilizer for ventilation.
• Do not place the stabilizer in an enclosed place.
• Do ensure that proper fuse/circuit breaker is provided in the power line connection to avoid overloading of the stabilizer.
• Do ensure that proper Electrical Grounding (for protection from Electrical Shock) is provided to the stabilizer.
• Do not use electronic equipment during heavy monsoon. Lightning can cause damage to the stabilizer as well as the electronics equipment connected.
• Do not place the stabilizer on the top or on the side of the T.V. Magnetic Interference may cause color patches in the picture.
• Do not overload the stabilizer.
• Do not place lighted candle sticks on the stabilizer.
• Do not hang the stabilizer by the power cord.
• Do not open the stabilizer. Live connection may cause electrical shock.
• Entrust your stabilizer to a qualified service technician / authorised service centre in the event to noticing any defects (Refer terms and conditions of warranty).

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY OF GUARDIAN VOLTAGE STABILIZERS.

VSOLV ENGINEERING INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (here in after referred to as VSOLV), assures the original owner of Stabilizer, bearing the serial number mentioned on this warranty card that if the stabilizer has been used under normal conditions, it is covered under warranty against defects arising out of defective materials and / or workmanship as per terms below : (kindly note that certain parts / components have been excluded from warranty)

• During the period of first twelve months repair or replacement of the defective part of stabilizer will be done free of charge (including materials & workmanship), however after this twelve months for the next 48 months the workmanship / labour for repair will be done free charge and the component/s or part/s if any are changed will be charged as per price list issued by VSOLV.

• The warranty will be rendered invalid if the serial number and / or date of packing of the stabilizer is missing, altered or defaced.
• The claim for warranty has to be made within the expiry of the warranty period specified above. No claims for warranty period benefits will be entertained after the expiry of warranty period.
• VSOLV does not guarantee that the operation of this product will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Parts / Components that are excluded from Warranty : Metal / Plastic Cabinet, Wires & Power Cord, Connector / Socket, Carton Box and Packing items etc.
• The warranty is limited to you as the original purchaser only. VSOLV is not liable for any claim made by a third party or made by you a the third party.
• All spare parts that are used to replace defective part/s in the product are entitled to (a) the remaining service period of the product in which it is installed or (b) 90 days parts replacement warranty, whichever is greater.
• For this warranty to be valid the stabilizer must be returned to authorised service centres/dealers/VSOLV, with seals intact and freight pre paid with purchase bills as proof of the date of purchase, along with the warranty card duly filled. You must also pay any taxes or duties that may be required to ship the product/s to us for warranty service. If proof of purchase / bills are missing, then to establish the date of purchase, the date / month of packing on the stabilizer would be considered. You are also responsible for insuring the product/s that is being shipped or being returned to you after warranty service and it is implied that you assume the risks or loss during shipping of the product/s for warranty service.
• The warranty does not cover any loss incurred / damage caused in transit.
• This warranty does not extend to any stabilizer tampered by the purchaser and no compensation whatsoever shall be provided for repairs carried out by the purchaser or agent or any unauthorized repairer.
• The warranty will be rendered null and void if this product has been improperly installed or used, altered or tampered in any way, or if the usage has not been in accordance with the specified ranges / limits.
• The warranty does not cover any damage caused due to the fury of nature including flood, inundation, earthquake, forest fire etc.
• The warranty will be considered null and void due to damages if any due to improper installation, obsolescence, corrosion, negligence, mischief, vandalism, war, riot etc.
• VSOLV’s maximum liability under the limited warranty is expressly limited to the lesser of the price paid for the product or the cost of repair or replacement of any component/s or part/s that malfunctions in conditions of normal use.
• VSOLV excludes all liability arising out sale and use of this product for consequential or indirect losses, including losses for any other product, loss of any property or loss / injury to human life. This exclusion of liability will also include loss or interruption of business, loss in profits, any other commercial or economic loss, loss of service, loss of information / data, damage to any connected appliance / gadget / equipment / machinery etc.
• The purchaser agrees that repair or replacement, as applicable, under the warranty terms described herein as the sole and exclusive remedies for rectifying the defective stabilizer / part / component.
• VSOLV would endeavour to carry out repairs / replacements at the earliest but will not be bound to do within any specified time.
• VSOLV reserves the right to alter, vary or change the terms, conditions, warranty periods and charges thereof without any notice at its own discretion. Any such changes will be binding on the customer / user of the product.
• This warranty terms will be governed by the applicable laws in the republic of India and any disputes relating to this warranty terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil courts of Chennai, India.
• VSOLV disclaims all other warranties, expressed or limited. VSOLV’s sole liability shall be to repair / replace the product/s, part/s or component/s as specified above. Any statutory warranties that may be implied by applicable law are limited to the duration of this limited warranty.

ONSITE SERVICE: Currently, VSOLV ELECTRONICS offers onsite service for the GUARDIAN Voltage stabilizers sold and installed within Chennai and Kochi city – as a special offer in addition to the limited warranty mentioned herein to its customers located only within these cities. This service is provided FREE for the first twelve months from date of purchase. However, after completion of twelve months visiting charges for onsite service done will be charged as per list below :

• This onsite service is as a special offer for customers within Chennai and Kochi City limits and VSOLV will be under no obligation to do such onsite service at all times – whether the product is under warranty or not. VSOLV may, at its sole discretion, determine if a defect can be repaired Onsite.
• If VSOLV ultimately determines that an on-site service call is required to repair a defect, the call will be scheduled during standard office hours unless otherwise specifically stated or approved by VSOLV. Standard office hours are typically 10:00 to 18:00 hours, Monday through Saturday (excluding Holidays). If the location of the defective unit is outside the customary Onsite service zone – (to be determined by the VSOLV service center) - onsite service may not be possible or response times may be longer and there may be additional charges that will be determined by VSOLV.
• In order to receive on-site support, you must: (a) Have an authorised representative present when VSOLV staff provides warranty services at your site (b) Notify VSOLV if products are being installed / used in an environment which poses a potential health or safety hazard to VSOLV employees or subcontractors and in such cases the Onsite service will not be done (c) Agree to subject reasonable security arrangements at the site whilst our service staff is carrying out the repair and (d) To provide safe access to and use of all facilities, information, and systems determined necessary by VSOLV or its staff to provide timely service support.

VSOLV reserves the right to withdraw this onsite service facility and also to alter, vary or change the charges thereof without any notice at its own discretion. Any such changes will be binding on the customer / user of the product. The charges will be subject to statutory levies at applicable rates.

SELECTION OF A MODEL OF VOLTAGE STABILIZER:

Relay Type of Voltage Stabilizers are generally of standard capacity ratings and they are sold mostly specifically for an appliance or gadget. For a given capacity – there will be models for different input voltage ranges. Kindly refer to the voltage ranges for various models mentioned.

While selecting a model of Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer - care should be taken – as the equipment’s connected are very sensitive and critical. Hence, you need to know the exact specified load of the equipment that is to be protected. In case of multiple loads – you need to total up the individual loads. After determining the total load that may be applied – you need to add provision for margin at-least 20 to 30 % additionally – as safety factor. This is done to provide an allowance - such that the servo controlled voltage stabilizers – which are on many occasions made to operate continuously – operate efficiently and also there is provision for accommodating future growth requirements. Thereafter the operating voltage range of the servo controlled stabilizer - need to be selected, based on the incoming voltage. If the fluctuations are large – then wider ranges of incoming voltage need to be selected. Kindly refer to the voltage ranges chart for selecting appropriate model.
